Welcome to Germantown Shoutouts. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to the yard greeting rental services we provide and to your use of our website. By requesting, booking, or renting a display from us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Throughout this page, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Germantown Shoutouts. "You" and "your" refer to the customer requesting or renting a display.

1. Our Services

We design, deliver, install, and remove custom yard greeting displays ("yard cards" or "displays") for birthdays, new babies, retirements, graduations, holidays, business events, and other occasions. Each display is customized and rented for a set period, after which we return to remove it. Displays are rented, not sold — all signs, stakes, letters, and decorative pieces remain our property at all times.

2. Requests, Quotes & Booking

To request a display, contact us through our website form, by phone, or by text. Submitting a request does not guarantee a booking. A rental is only confirmed once we have agreed on the date, details, and price, and any required deposit has been received. We recommend booking early, as availability is limited and popular dates fill quickly. We reserve the right to decline any request.

3. Pricing & Payment

Every display is custom, so pricing depends on the size, design, and occasion. We will provide a quote before your rental is confirmed. Payment is arranged directly with us as described at the time of booking, and a deposit may be required to reserve your date. Prices are subject to change, but any quote we confirm for a scheduled rental will be honored.

4. Cancellations, Changes & Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or change your rental, please let us know as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate changes to your date, design, or delivery address, subject to availability. We reserve the right to cancel a rental due to circumstances beyond our control (including weather or safety concerns), in which case we will offer to reschedule or provide a refund.

5. Delivery, Setup & Placement

We deliver and install displays at the address you provide, typically the evening before your requested date, and remove them after the rental period ends. You are responsible for providing the correct delivery address and for ensuring we have safe, legal, and unobstructed access to the yard. Please let us know in advance about any sprinkler systems, underground utilities, irrigation lines, invisible pet fences, septic components, or similar hazards. We are not responsible for damage to unmarked underground lines or systems. If we are unable to access or safely install at the location upon arrival, the rental may be treated as a same-day cancellation.

6. Permission, HOA Rules & Permits

You confirm that you own the property where the display will be placed, or that you have permission from the property owner to place it there. You are responsible for complying with any homeowners' association rules, neighborhood covenants, or local ordinances, and for obtaining any permits that may be required. We are not responsible for displays that must be removed due to HOA rules, ordinances, or complaints, and no refund will be given in those cases.

7. Care of the Display

Once installed, the display is in your care until we remove it. Please do not move, alter, or relocate any part of the display, and please keep it clear of lawn equipment, vehicles, pets, and children. You are responsible for any loss of, theft of, or damage to the display or its components while it is on your property, beyond normal wear from ordinary display.

8. Weather

Our displays are designed to withstand normal outdoor conditions. In the event of severe weather, we may adjust the delivery or removal time for safety. We are not responsible for damage caused by extreme weather, wind, storms, or acts of nature. If severe weather prevents installation, we will work with you to reschedule or issue a refund where appropriate.

9. Photography & Marketing

We may photograph the displays we create, including while they are installed at your location, and use those photos to promote our business on our website, social media, and other marketing materials. Photos will feature the display itself and will not intentionally include identifying personal information. If you prefer that we not photograph or share images of your display, please let us know in writing before your rental date.

10. Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability

You agree that our displays are placed and used at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Germantown Shoutouts is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any injury, property damage, or loss arising from the placement, presence, use, or removal of a display. Our total liability for any claim relating to a rental will not exceed the amount you paid for that rental. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of a display or your breach of these Terms.

11. Intellectual Property

All designs, artwork, graphics, and content we create, along with the content on our website, remain our property. You may not reproduce, resell, or reuse our designs without our written permission.

12. Your Information & Privacy

When you contact or book with us, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, phone number, email, and delivery address) so we can respond to your request and fulfill your rental. We do not sell your personal information.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on our website at the time of your booking applies to that rental. Continued use of our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
